Sometimes the final round can be anti-climactic. Any time there's an anti-social, the top teams usually wager zero and the teams trying to get into the money wager fifteen and fall further behind. Socials can be just as trivial when final standings stay the same despite big wagers. Dice likes the final question that goes 50/50. Half the teams get it, half don't. Dice likes it even better when each of those halves split their wagering. Some teams going big. Others trying to preserve a lead wager little. In the end, it's like a roll of the dice...anything can happen. Tonight, at the Cider Mill, almost everything did.
TEAMS: Plagued by their terrible halftime, the GERM AVENGERS (78) had nothing to lose in the final round, but won everything with a successful big wager. TRIGGER HAPPY BUNNIES (77) nailed the final as well but picked up one fewer bonus point along the way than the Avengers. Locking horns all night, VAN DE GRAF & THE GENERATORS (71) and FEMBOTS HAVE FEELINGS TOO (71) tied for the lead into the final, but VDG won the tie-breaker battle for third.
Winners of their soccer game earlier in the night, the GOAL DIGGERS ran out of steam in the end. CHIMP N' IT (62) nearly perfectly wagered the whole contest, but stumbled at halftime and never recovered. Cider Mill favs, SCRATCH N' SNIFF, couldn't recapture last week's magic. PBR were a little too preoccupied with their "other" wagers to put much into Trivia.
